Innistrad full of flavor.

Innistrad has been in full swing for about a week and the most we really saw come of it was some nice brews, still doing so myself, and RDW taking top two spot at SCG Indy. I wanted to do something with humans personally for the flavor aspect of the game they're the underdogs and need to band together in order to stand against.......well everything. The idea was fairly simple use Naya werewolves with human support to force the opponent to be on the spot between a rock and a werewolf. Do they let it transform to lose the lifelink of Buther's Cleaver but get bigger or let it be smaller and gain me some life. Though at the end of the day Mayor ended up being the only werewolf partly for being a lord, and then for being a lord/dude factory. They also needed tools to fight off things so I gave them three Cleavers and one of each Mirrodin sword, and a Trepanation Blade. What is a magic deck without a topped curve so for fatties sporting two Sun Titan, and two Wormcoil Engine, Sun Titan gets back over half the deck, and Wormcoil is just an all around threat, for extra backup special land Gavonry Township which I could use more of to slowly make on field dudes bigger. Due to financial problems the deck feels incomplete and needs a few things. Once the list is rounded out I'll get it. on a secondary note Moon Logic Productions is going to be making a huge push so look for us on YouTube and soon Blip.tv

Back?

It has been awhile since I updated, I mean wow a long while; I won't make any excuses aside from being fairly busy and overly stressed. To no surprise to anyone M12 dropped the pre-release this weekend of July 9-10. Unfortunately everyone around is just sad that the cards are terrible in their opinion not seeing them as the sleepers they are waiting for Innistrad this fall. As some may already know due to some issues with PC codes for Duels 2012 some Innistrad cards were leaked giving a preview that Flashback is well.........I pay UU and Flashback; Flashback. This fact alone is what is probably driving J,MA's price up at time of writing still 33 to 40 dollars. What is truly exciting though is watching the brewing expand with the new bans. Maybe there will be some actual sick plays coming out of M12, and I expect to a lot of Chandra, Firebrand; she has a ton of possibility and splashes in nearly any deck; if even to just double cast Incinerate. Though if anything I would call Chandra the immediate her ability to double cast is almost too sick for the card draw applications; yes I will double Tezzeret's Gambit grab my top four and Proliferate twice. Sure I'll Volt Charge and fling six while putting double Proliferate on Chandra. Watch out for her this bombshell is ready to go off and tear you apart. In other news, inbetween busy; or rather on my lunch break at work I've taken back to reading to fill the time. I just today picked up a book from the library which I recommend to anyone who likes a fairly hardcore female protagonist. Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter is a series by Times Best Seller Laurell K. Hamilton. Now my hipster side overlooked it awhile back when my friends were giving it mad praise, and I wasn't too into reading. However Laurell is on my very small list of readable writers, and I mean small. Anyways The series takes place in a parallel fantasy world where vampires, shape shifters, werewolves, faeries, etc. exist. Her night job, and primary source of income, is the legal profession of re-animating the dead. As an "animator" in a parallel St. Louis, her job entails using magical abilities to bring temporary life to dead bodies in order to question them for legal purposes. She is a necromancer, which allows her to control the dead, including vampires and zombies, but not ghosts and ghouls. She is also a licensed vampire hunter/executioner, with eventual empowerment as a Federal Marshal. In her world this profession involves tracking down and killing vampires who have murdered humans. She is also held in retainer for the Regional Preternatural Investigation Team (RPIT, pronounced Rip-it), which investigates supernatural crimes committed involving magic, vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural creatures. What does this mean, well if you're a fan of Underworld, True Blood, Blade, or White-Wolf check it out(Book One is "Guilty Pleasures"). Not a novel idea, the series was picked up and being adapted by Marvel with some extra little tidbits and sides thrown in so far the first three books are in comic form with a two issue story between the first and second book.
